To begin, there are six distinct skills areas for the Graduates West Yorkshire programme. The Development Centre will provide you with an opportunity to find out more about your skills in a fun, activity based way.

Self- Motivator

Graduates who demonstrate this skill area are driven to succeed, motivated and take initiative and ownership over success. They keep going when things get tough, are resilient in the face of challenges and believe in continuously improving themselves and their skills.

Organised Planner

Graduates who demonstrate this skillset are organised and able to plan their work effectively and deliver against deadlines. They are process driven but recognise that even the best laid plans may need to change. They can adapt their approach and be flexible when needed.

Quality Driven

Graduates who demonstrate this skill area are driven to produce high-quality work. They have high levels of attention to detail which allows them to complete tasks with accuracy, thoroughness, and consistency.

Collaborative Communicator

Graduates who demonstrate this skillset are confident communicators, who can collaborate with others and value working in a team setting. They can use their communication skills to persuade others, negotiate and navigate challenges and conflicts.

Creative Innovator

Graduates who demonstrate this skill area are enterprising, can come up with creative solutions to problems, and generate new ideas. They might be creative in a particular area (e.g. written comms, visual), or apply creative flair to all aspects of their work.

Critical Thinker
